Human Rights Policy for Batri® Ltd
1. Purpose and Commitment
Batri Ltd (“Batri”, “we”, “our”, or “the Company”) is committed to respecting internationally recognised human rights across our operations and business relationships.
We align our approach with:
- The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
- The International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions
- The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs)
As a company operating within the global battery and energy supply chain, we recognise that human rights risks can arise, particularly in upstream material sourcing. We are committed to identifying and managing these risks in a proportionate and responsible manner.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All employees, directors, and officers of Batri
- Contractors and consultants
- Suppliers, partners, and other third parties
We expect all business partners to operate in a manner consistent with this policy.

Batri is a growing company and applies a risk-based and proportionate approach to human rights due diligence. We aim to:
- Avoid causing or contributing to human rights harm
- Identify and assess risks within our operations and supply chain
- Engage with suppliers to promote responsible practices
- Take reasonable steps to address concerns where identified
4. Key Principles
4.1 Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity
We provide a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, or victimisation. Decisions are based on merit and business needs.
4.2 Modern Slavery and Forced Labour
We have zero tolerance for:
- Forced or bonded labour
- Human trafficking
- Exploitative labour practices
We recognise that risks may exist in global supply chains and take reasonable steps to:
- Engage with suppliers on labour practices
- Avoid sourcing from high-risk entities where concerns cannot be addressed
- Review supplier practices where appropriate
4.3 Child Labour
We do not employ child labour and expect suppliers to comply with applicable laws and standards.
4.4 Fair Working Conditions
We support fair wages, reasonable working hours, and safe working environments in line with applicable laws.
4.5 Freedom of Association
We respect employees’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining, in accordance with local laws.
4.6 Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
We are committed to maintaining safe and healthy working conditions and complying with relevant health and safety requirements.
4.7 Responsible Supply Chain Engagement
We work with suppliers to promote responsible practices. Our approach includes:
- Considering human rights factors in supplier selection
- Raising concerns with suppliers where risks are identified
- Seeking improvements through engagement rather than immediate disengagement, where appropriate
We recognise that in some regions, human rights risks may be elevated. We aim to manage these risks responsibly while maintaining constructive supplier relationships.
5. Implementation
We implement this policy through:
- Internal governance and oversight by senior management
- Supplier onboarding and engagement processes
- Periodic review of higher-risk relationships
- Integration with related policies (e.g. ethics, procurement, modern slavery)
Given our size, we prioritise actions based on risk and materiality.
6. Reporting and Concerns
We encourage employees and stakeholders to raise concerns regarding human rights.
Concerns will be:
- Taken seriously
- Reviewed and addressed where appropriate
- Handled with discretion
We do not tolerate retaliation against individuals raising concerns in good faith.
7. Governance and Review
This policy is overseen by senior management and reviewed periodically to reflect:
- Business growth
