Batri Showcases Progress at the Faraday Battery Challenge Cohort Event

On 19th November 2024, Dr Emma Freeman and Dr Brent de Boode represented Batri at the Faraday Battery Challenge Cohort Networking Day, held at the prestigious QEII Centre in London.

The event brought together funding recipients and key stakeholders from across the UK battery sector, providing a valuable platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Batri’s exhibit highlighted the company’s ongoing Faraday Battery Challenge Round 6 project, conducted in partnership with Swansea University and Lucideon. This ambitious initiative focuses on developing more efficient battery materials and manufacturing processes, further strengthening the UK’s leadership in clean energy technologies. Attendees at the event showed keen interest in the project’s progress, underscoring the importance of innovation and industry-academic collaboration in tackling global energy challenges.

Throughout the day, participants attended insightful talks delivered by representatives from the Faraday Institution, Innovate UK, and the Faraday Battery Challenge, who offered updates on the wider funding landscape and current research priorities. These discussions emphasised the UK’s commitment to pioneering battery solutions that drive both economic growth and environmental sustainability.

The networking and project showcasing sessions enabled Batri to forge new connections with potential partners, including advanced material characterisation providers and battery pack manufacturers. These collaborative relationships promise to accelerate technological breakthroughs and help commercialise promising discoveries. Concluding the day, attendees enjoyed stunning views of London’s skyline from the venue, adding a touch of inspiration to an already productive event.
